One of the great things about Bandon, Oregon is the amazing seastacks that abound
there. There so many of them, some of which have a spire shape to them. The seastack
on the right in this image actually has a spire shape when viewed at a certain angle from
the beach. For this shot, I was standing on a rock while the waves were rushing in all
around me. The tide was going out still, so I gambled that I wouldn't get stuck there!

I thought that the rock on the right kind of looked like a maiden looking out
to sea waiting for her lost love; thus the title. This was a 25 second exposure.
