"Beauty In Red" Print# 39109
While hiking on a trail in the Columbia Gorge in Oregon, I noticed this one
lone Red Columbine. Its colors were much richer than the other Columbines I had seen on the
various trails in the area. It was dangling off a steep embankment, which required me to position my
camera and tripod in a manner that I had to hang on to it to keep it from falling. I spent about a
half an hour getting everything in position and waiting for the wind to quit tossing it around. The
wind never stopped, but I managed to get a couple good clear images. It was so peaceful there on the
trail; a very enjoyable time of photography.
